On this mystical day of wish-granting, Square Enix is starting it off right.

For a limited but unspecified time, Square Enix is offering a special promotion inspired by this day. Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition (including the PC version of the main game, all four expansions, and three battle area additions: Vision of Abyssea, Scars of Abyssea, and Heroes of Abyssea) for 50% off the current price. Basically, that means that for everyone who was unsatisfied with Final Fantasy XIV but wants to know what a good Square Enix MMORPG is like can get the entire game here for $9.99.

Did I mention there's also a 14-day free trial period for new accounts? Because there is. You've got 2 weeks to test it out before paying the $11.95 a month service fee.

On November 15, Square Enix is releasing the Final Fantasy XI Original Soundtrack Plus CD set. It comes with two discs, including previously unreleased music from the Wings of the Goddess expansion, as well as the Abyssea area music. It also comes for a code redeemable for an in-game item called a Spinet: basically a piano-style jukebox for your Mog House.
