12 Minutes of Dark Souls II Footage Showcases Lots and Lots of Combat

A 12 minute video showcasing new gameplay footage for Dark Souls II has been revealed, and it looks quite excellent so far.

In the video, we get to see lots of combat, which looks to be just as punishingly difficult as in the first game. Hilariously enough, the video also shows the player losing to the same soul-crushingly tough statues that our own Masoud had trouble with in his play-through.

The Mirror-Knight battle is shown as well, in which he himself is not only insanely powerful but also summons another warrior to fight you during the fight (if you’re online then it’s a human player and for offline players, an NPC).

We also get a better understanding of the combat system itself, including which weapons to use at what time and against which enemy. Finally four different classes are shown to give you a better idea of their strengths and weaknesses. Check out the full video posted below for all the info.
