This morning, everyone who subscribes to Xbox LIVE should have received an email informing them of a mandatory service update occurring tomorrow – November 1. According to the email, the update is supposed to add new features, as well as “enhance the interface, navigation, and responsiveness of Xbox LIVE.” After the update is completed, players will notice new colors and fonts, as well as a new layout for the Dashboard.
Supposedly the update will only take five to ten minutes depending on connection speed, and will become available as soon as players turn on their 360s on November 1. However, the update FAQs did not specify what time the update will go live – will players who are online at midnight tonight see an interruption in their service?
If you did not receive the email, you can click here to see the online version, or go to Xbox.com to see the full details of the update.
