Sonic and Hoverboards are no strangers to each other. In fact, the have been intimately affiliated in a number of pretty mediocre racing games, the last being Sonic Free Ridersa pretty poorly received launch title for the Xbox Kinect. SEGA has canceled a bunch of Sonic titles in the past, including a similarly named Sonic X-Treme and I can see why.

Based on the gameplay clip, the game looked pretty sub-par and seemed to combine the less imaginative aspects of Sonic Riders and Tony Hawk Pro Skater. Maybe it’s a good thing, as I’m sure no Xbox 360 or PS3 users would actually buy this title until Sonic actually got a good game again.
