EVE Online to Launch in Japan this Fall

by Jul 7th 2011 1:45AM 0 Comments

Today Nexon announced an agreement with CCP for the official distribution of EVE Online in Japan. The game will be fully localized in Japanese and the service is scheduled to open this fall.

While Nexon will provide it’s billing services (Japanese players will pay a monthly fee like the current EVE Online playerbase) and marketing assets, it will not operate an independent server, as players from Japan will still explore and fight alongside international capsuleers on the global Tranquillity server operated directly by CCP.
