Today’s Akihabara location test of BlazBlue’s newest character – Relius Clover – has yielded a pair of screenshots of the character in action. There are also a few videos out there but the quality on those is abysmal. You can see from the screens that Relius’ doll Ignis is a lot more agile than Carl’s doll Ada because of her airborne spinning attack. The other screen shows Relius attacking with some sort of weapon from within his cape, very similar to his son Carl Clover.

Although he seems a bit similar to Carl, Relius really does seem like a unique addition to the BB roster. He is currently only confirmed for Japanese arcade versions of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2 (later this year) and the largely mysterious PS Vita game BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2+, which has no release date.
