Two of the Dead or Alive series’ most senior lady fighters are the centerpiece of the newest screens Team Ninja has revealed recently. Ayane and Hitomi, who have been playable since the franchise’s first and third titles, respectively, are taking and giving out some serious pain in the five shots we’ve got for you.

Ayane has not only appeared in more DoA titles than her sparring partner, but she’s also been seen in the Ninja Gaiden games and is playable in Ninja Gaiden Sigma II. Hitomi, while being a bit newer to the series, has graced more covers than the 16-year-old.

Dead or Alive 5 is scheduled for a 2012 release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Check out all five new images of Ayane and Hitomi in action after the jump.
