Square Enix is sending mail to subscribers of it’s “members” service, communicating that the server intrusion that happened on December the 14th and prompted a suspension of the service in North America and Japan, did not compromise any credit card information, personal information or user login credentials, as that kind of data simply was not stored in the affected server.
The publisher stated that the investigation will continue and that the incident has been reported to the Japanese government. The Square Enix Members service (with the exclusion of the European version) is still down for maintenance, and according to Square Enix it will take a few more days for it to be reactivated.
