Grains of salt all around on this one. A recent rumor from website Forget the Box spins a tale of a “software developer friend” who was approached by Nintendo to aid the company’s quest in porting iOS software onto the new system. So sayeth this “friend,” Nintendo is looking to stick a finger in ever pie it can — besides the obvious 3D craze, we have recently heard news of its first foray (finally) into DLC, and now rumor has it they want to provide access to digital books, magazines, comics, and other literary goodies on both the Wii U and 3DS.
Forget the Box further speculates that this could also mean instruction manuals, strategy guides, and Nintendo Power magazine would all be digitally accessible as well. How crazy would it be to have your strategy guide open on your tablet controller while you play the game on your TV? Freaky.
