Digital download: It’s a model that works, people.

In just over a year, Infinity Blade, the slash-tastic swordsman adventure created by the team behind Gears of War, has taken $23 million. The sequel, Infinity Blade II, has grossed about $5 million since its release little more than a month ago. Add the revenue Epic has taken from digital books, arcade releases and the game’s official soundtrack and Cliffy B. and company have raked in about $35 million from the franchise.

So say what you will about mobile games platforms, but there are legitimate experiences to be had there. Hell, iOS made a believer out of Alexa. And don’t forget these games run on the same engine that powered the Gears of War and Arkham Batman games, among others.

Because it gives them tons of munnys.”

I can never take gaming on mobile phones seriously. They just aren’t MEANT to play traditional games IMO.

That’s why we have portable gaming devices.
