Square Enix is bringing action platformer Scarygirl to Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network, and if you’re a fan of quirky, surrealist art design and deformed little girls that dress up like pirates, than this game is for you.

Developed by TikGames and based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel of the same name by Nathan Jurevicius, Scarygirl follows the orphaned and tentacle-armed Scarygirl as she attempts to discover just what the strange man in her nightmares is trying to tell her. Joining her are her friends, Blister the giant octopus and Bunniguru the kung-fu rabbit. The game is set for an early 2012 and promises gorgeously crafted environments, online co-op play, and evil hedgehogs. Screenshots after the cut!
