Europe Gets Trailer for The Last Story; North Americans Weep

If you’re like me, you are still deeply bitter that Nintendo has no planned North American release date for Mistalker’s action RPG The Last Story. Ahead of its February 24 release date for the Wii, the company has released a trailer featuring several storyline cutscenes as well as boss and normal battle footage and some gorgeous open world exploration.

The Last Story was originally released in Japan in January of 2011 to critical acclaim. While Nintendo of America did take out a trademark on the title in July of last year, the company has been silent on bringing the game to our shores.

My fondest wish is that Nintendo takes a page out of the Xenoblade Chronicles book and bring The Last Story to North America. You can cry big fat tears over the trailer after the cut.

    I’m not ashamed to admit I’m weeping over this one.  Been waiting a long time for another game from Sakaguchi and Uematsu over at Mistwalker Studio.  Now that it’s finally here…well, it’s not really…here, in North America, that is.  If it ever does make it over, I’d like to pick up a limited edition copy(though that’s probably too much to ask for considering it’s Nintendo of America we’re dealing with).  They don’t like money.

    This sort of thing is exactly why I support people modding their machines – a little region-free software in there and you could import this no problem. Thankfully, Wiis are incredibly easy to softmod. Downside, of course, is piracy abuse.

    Yeah..After Nintendo didn’t wanna bring xenoblade over here,I had to mod my wii.I’m still buying it when it comes out in march I’ll buy it to support the game and if the last story ever comes here i’ll pick it up aswell..Till then,I Can’t wait to DL TLS next month :)
