Paradox Interactive Announces New Titles After Castle-Con

Okay, maybe that’s not the official title, but they held their annual two-day showcase/convention in Häringe Palace, so how could I not?

After a very successful year, Paradox Interactive has announced several new titles. First off is Magicka: The Other Side of the Coin. The newest expansion for the hit series gives players to opportunity to let out their evil side as they challenge the brainwashed bozos who dare to fight for the side of good. They liken the level progression to Magicka: Vietnam.

Next up is A Game of Dwarves, which puts players in the role of the prince of a race notorious for “drinking, digging, and developing complex settlements underground.” Manage your peons and help them help you become rich and powerful. Sounds like a fun time to me.

Lastly we have Napoleon’s Campaigns II promises not to fall short, though it will “bring Europe to its knees, again.” (Not going there, I am not going there, we have young, tender minds reading this site). Following in the footsteps of the first, players find the best strategy needed to take over all of Europe, which is apparently pretty darn big in this game. (Compared to the maps used in other games with maps of Napoleonic Europe, though I profess I have no idea the size of the pool we’re drawing from.)

Keep an eye out for more from Paradox Interactive in the coming months, as information is sure to be forthcoming.
