Following the rumors that the company had cancelled its 2014 lineup and pulled out of a publishing deal with Disney after the failure of the uDraw Tablet, THQ released a statement this morning confirming that the company would be turning its focus back to its “core game franchises” and away from “traditional kids’ licensed video games.” The company is looking to work on more “digital initiatives” as its goes forward, despite the closure of its UK digital studio last summer.

THQ’s release mentions UFC, Darksiders, Company of Heroes, Insane, Saints Row, Warhammer 40K, and a project currently in production under Patrice Desilets as its “key franchises,” promising more information to come next week.

The company has also announced that Saints Row: The Third has shipped 3.8 million copies since its launch in November of last year. THQ expects lifetime sales to reach bewteen five and six million units, citing the game’s Season Pass Plan as incentive for future purchasers.
