Sony’s HD Remaster Spree Continues As Jak and Daxter Collection Hits Stores and PSN Today

HD remasters of last-gen favorites are all the rage right now. Not to let Jak and Daxter fans down, Sony has dropped that franchise’s hi-def trilogy set in stores and in the PlayStation Network Store. All three games have been remastered to display in 720p and now support stereoscopic 3D if you’ve got the right gear.

A physical copy of the HD collection will run you $39.99 at retailers or $14.99 apiece as digital downloads. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the duo’s foray into kart racing, Jak X: Combat Racing made the cut. If you’re not familiar with the series, it was Naughty Dog’s last project before starting on Uncharted. Take a look at the Jak franchise and the studio’s previous project, Crash Bandicoot, and you’ll see why Nathan Drake was a bit of a surprise when he hit the scene.

Daxter’s lone venture on the PSP and the portable-turned-PS2 Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier won’t appear in this collection, either. It’s also unlikely Naughty Dog will revisit the world of the Precursors any time soon. Oh, well. At least you trophy hoarders have 100 new prizes to go after, right?

I actually completely agree with your opinion. It’s so perfect. I think it’s necessary for me. Thank for help!
