By “standard”, what I mean is the  17+ version, known in Japanese ratings as the CERO D version. The other version will be CERO Z, which is 18 and up, as well as uncensored.

Personally, I’m not sure how much difference one year is supposed to be making, but I’ve never fully understood the reasoning behind our 17+/M rating either. Regardless of my opinions, the CERO Z rating means the uncensored version will have to be sold in an entirely different section, and have much higher purchasing regulations attached to it.

Now in terms of good news, we also know that the Japanese version of Lollipop Chainsaw will have options for both English and Japanese voice acting. No word yet on if the same will be true for the US version, so you Japanese voice acting purists will have to wait a bit longer for a definitive answer.
