Although the new Far Cry 3 trailer lacks any gameplay footage whatsoever, it does reveal that the game is scheduled for a Sept. 4 release in the U.S. The PEGI-rated version confirms the European release is only three days after that on Sept. 7. The Stranded Trailer follows three young folks on what we can only assume is a wholesome vacation in a place where semi-automatic weapons are sold in small businesses and shots are served without the mention of the letters I or D.

Things, of course, go wrong and while I won’t spoil anything for you, suffice it to say that the trailer sets up the scenario we’ve already been told will be the premise of the game: There’s a bit of a run-for-your-life vibe present. Check out the trailer after the jump.
