Worried About DMC? Capcom Says You Shouldn’t Be

If there is one sentiment that fans of the acclaimed Devil May Cry series share about the upcoming Ninja Theory developed DMC, that sentiment is concern. From the time it was revealed the game has stirred nothing but controversy, mainly due to the new design of main character Dante, which deviates wildly from what fans have come to expect. Capcom knows that fans are worrying and they’ve asked us, simply put, to stop.

At a recent Dragon’s Dogma event, Devil May Cry 3 director Hideaki Itsuno spoke briefly about a meeting he’d attended for DMC. He said very little about the game, but most notably that fans shouldn’t worry because the game is “awesome”. He also states that many people will be blown away by the title, which is easy to believe considering how low some expectations are.

Devil May Cry 3 is considered by many to be the strongest title in the series, meaning that its director certainly has come clout. I don’t know if I’m done worrying yet, but I won’t deny that Hideaki’s words are a bit…comforting. DMC is expected to hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime this year.
