Ubisoft Confirms Assassin’s Creed III’s Setting

by on March 1, 2012 12:45 PM 3

Ubisoft has just uploaded box art for Assassin’s Creed III onto its Facebook page, letting the world know that yes — the next assassin will be doing his stabby thing during the American Revolution.

With a slightly updated assassin outfit and the British and America flags flying ominously behind him, it looks like we’re in for another excellently designed and thoughtfully crafted show. The game is set to release on October 30 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

More details will be revealed on Monday, says Ubisoft. Check out the box art after the cut!

This news makes me so excited. There have been rumors of #3 being set in revolutionary America and I get all kinds of excited thinking about the toys we’re going to get to play with. I’m a bit of a history buff and I’m looking forward to seeing how they tweek the Revolution.

Not that I mind the setting the current Assassins Creed game is placed in but I was kind of hoping that the next game was going to take place in the East in Feudal Japan or China during the three kingdoms. It would have certainly made some interesting plot. However considering the setting of the current Assassins Creed game the American Revolution may the most appropriate to tie up the story
