The latest entry in the Angry Birds franchise takes the slingshot propelled pig-hunters into the next logical setting for a series on the move: Space. And this time, the’re doing it with the full backing of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The video embedded after the jump has astronaut and physicist Don Pettit simulating a bit of Angry Birds aboard the International Space Station.
Sure, the guy may not have the best presentation in the world, but his demonstration and explanation of the physics of the next installment of the Angry Bird franchise brings up some pretty neat opportunities for the series. Just take a look at some of the gameplay and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Is it just me, or are those pigs freezing as soon as they’re exposed to open space? That and these new trajectory physics have me intrigued. Well played, Rovio.
