Papo and Yo is a story about a boy and his two best friends: A tiny robot and a frog-eating monster. No, not this one. The game is a puzzle-platformer in the vein of Ico, but don’t let the similarities fool you. This is definitely its own beast. Alexa already spoke with Minority Media’s creative director about his thoughts on the title as a narrative construction, so I’m going to give you something a little different. Click past the jump and you’ll get a mind (expletive deleted)-ingly awesome look at what it’ll be like to guide Quico through the world of Papo and Yo.
There’s jetpacks. There’s environmental manipulation. There’s even a bit of platforming. This PlayStation Network title doesn’t have a release date yet, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
