So says’s a tipster over at Tom’s Guide. According to the site, ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda are preparing to announce The Elder Scrolls Online this coming May. Citing an anonymous “industry source,” they claim the game will be set 1000 years before Skyrim, during the “Second Era” and pre-dating all five currently released Elder Scrolls games. The game supposedly features three factions with roots grounded in animal lore: a lion, a dragon, and a bird of prey.
A May announcement might mean a big showcase at E3, but it’s too easy to say. Another possibility is a showing or, dare we think it, playable demo at QuakeCon.
