Halfbrick Studios have announced that they’ve just acquired Onan Games and in particular their Mandreel technology which allows games to support iOS, Android, Flash and HTML5 development from one C++ code base. The potential to this is incredible and could lead to their insanely popular games Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride being ported to more devices and possibly seeing a Facebook or other web version of the games.
As a recent new owner of an Android phone (finally joining the future with a smart phone), I would absolutely LOVE to have Jetpack Joyride ported to it. It’s one of my favorite mobile games I’ve ever played and to this day I still find myself booting it up on my iPod Touch to play all the time. In all honesty I sometimes take my iPod to work just so I can play Jetpack Joyride on my breaks.
