Peripheral maker Hori has revealed a cool feature in the upcoming Japanese RPG Etrian Odyssey IV. Players will be able to access special quests by using QR codes. This detail comes via a description of the contents of Hori’s accessory pack for the game. The cute 2,780 yen bundle will include: a 3DS carrying pouch, a hard plastic case, a stylus and a QR code which players can use to download an exclusive mission.
This one instance means that there will most likely be various other QR code missions available, though it’s speculation. North American fans should be more concerned with the game reaching our shores. Etrian Odyssey IV will be available in Japan on July 5th.
