Star Wars: The Old Republic Weekly Q&A Explains Why Scoundrels Will Stop Laughing

by Apr 8th 2012 11:48AM 0 Comments

It’s the weekend, and as usual BioWare published another weekly Q&A about Star Wars: The Old Republic, focusing on the upcoming version 1.2 (you can read my own preview of the update here).

This week we see Senior Systems Designer David Hunt, Systems Designer Patrick Mallot, Lead Game Designer Daniel Erickson, Principal Lead Systems Designer Damion Schubert, Senior Community Manager Stephen Reid and Senior Designer Austin Peckenpaugh answer to several questions from the fans.

A definitely useful piece of information is what you should do with the commendations that will be depreciated with 1.2. You better spend most of them, because quite a few types are going to lose most of all their value after the patch.

The way reverse engineering will work with the Legacy update has also been clarified, with an explicit tooltip that will let us know our critical research chance, that will range between 10% and 20%

There are quite a few other tidbits of information, like the reason why some of the absolutely obnoxious Scoundrel combat giggling (an unnerving weapon in its own right) will be suppressed. You can read the full Q&A here and ask questions of your own here.
