A new trailer published today shows a few of the opening scenes from the upcoming PlayStation 3 game, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. The video begins to explain the story with a special gift given from a mother to her son and the sad tears shed because for some reason or other, she’s no longer around. The stuffed toy comes to life, taking the little boy on a magical journey to another world.

The animation is rich and colorful with classic art that is easily recognized as Studio Ghibli’s work. Watch the trailer after the break and you might want to get a box of tissues ready.
