The new Star Trek movie is set for theatrical release on May 17 and what’s a big ticket action movie without an accompanying game attached? Namco-Bandai will be publishing the new game prior to the movie’s release sometime in the first part of 2013.

The trailer opens up with everyone’s favorite Captain Kirk jumping off a cliff. At least he’s not alone, as other shots also show Spock. There isn’t much of a explanation as to why the future approves of wearing Catwoman-like space suits, but I’m sure we’ll find out eventually. Check out the video and some concept art after the break.
