Weapons that somehow extend and transform when drawn have been all the rage for a while in Final Fantasy XIV, and more are coming as part of patch 1.22 and further down the line.

Square Enix released today a new trailer showing some of the new weapons that will be the results of a set of new recipes (together with armor and accessories) that will allow crafters to rival the gear distributed by the Grand Companies.

They do look quite fantastic (or hilarious, especially the pugilist Cesti). You can check them out in the trailer after the cut.
