Cyanide Studio is giving us a look into their upcoming title, Game of Thrones: Behind the Wall, the latest attempt by the gaming industry to cash in on George R. R. Martin’s bestselling books, and the hit HBO TV series. Fans of the series may remember Cyanide’s last attempt: A Game of Thrones: Genesis which was a poorly received strategy game that currently holds a 53/100 on Metacritic.
While Behind the Wall certainly looks much better graphically, it’s release date of just two days from now seems ill-advised, being so close to the blockbuster RPG Diablo 3. Still though, it will be up to the stories Cyanide can tell if this game is going to hold its own in the genre. Behind the Wall will follow the new and unique stories of two minor characters in Westeros, Mors of the Night’s Watch, and Alester the Red Priest of Rhi’lor.
Take a look at the gallery and video and tell us what you think about this Game of Thrones title, and whether or not it will be able to hold it’s own. Hopefully this title can be more iconic then it’s predecessor, even if it’s not following the story of the major characters we’ve come to know and love.
