The PlayStation Blog was updated today with a list of the ten best selling games on the PSN service for the month of April, 2012. Critically acclaimed 2D indie fighter Skullgirls performed wonderfully, coming in 3rd on the list. It was beaten out only by I Am Alive, which is some sort of zombie game I can’t say I’m familiar with, and Journey, which was also highly acclaimed and quite popular.
Skullgirls also did will on Xbox Live, where it was the the number one best selling title for a time. I’d like to personally send another big congrats to the developer and publisher of Skullgirls for all the success – they definitely deserve it. Hopefully the giants of the fighting genre will learn a thing or two from this tiny developer.
I must say though, I certainly wish more of the people who bought the game on PSN would actually play it. It takes forever to find rooms online. Now when can we expect the first DLC character and patch?
