E3 2012: Atlus to Publish The Testament of Sherlock Holmes in North America

by on June 4, 2012 9:47 AM 1

Atlus has announced today that they will be bringing The Testament of Sherlock Holmes to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this September.

In The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, Holmes will have to face questions from Scotland Yard, doubt from his trusted companion Watson, and will have to deal with what may possibly be the most difficult case he has ever dealt with. After solving a case of missing jewels, Holmes is accused of having returned forgeries with no way of proving his innocence.

Gamers will have the ability to run an analysis on crime scenes, clues, and possible persons of interest in the game that has been made with consoles in mind. The game allows for players to decide what they want to investigate next, allowing for an open investigation.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes looks to be a game to keep and eye on this September. To celebrate this announcement for E3, Atlus has released a trailer for the game.

Normally games like this (games based on an already-existing IP looking to cash in on said IP’s fanbase) just depress or offend me, but since Atlus is handling this, just maybe it will work. I’m skeptical, but… I need itttt.
