By now we’ve all seen at least a little bit of NetherRealm’s Injustice: Gods Among Us in action, but not many of us have gotten a chance to play it. Some players have expressed concerns that the interactive stages look a bit gimmicky and that the environmental weapons may detract from high level play, thereby hindering the game’s tournament viability.
NetherRealm’s Ed Boon has noted these concerns and expressed that while the game is designed to be accessible from the start, it will indeed possess the depth that hardcore fighting fans so crave. Regarding the stages, Ed says that they will aim to include at least one “traditional” stage and that the team is keeping the highly competitive tournament scene in mind. That means that the game will be technically deep and easy to grasp – sounds good to me.
Injustice will be available sometime next year.
