The PC re-release of Final Fantasy VII was briefly made available to gamers this past weekend. Unfortunately for them, the early release of the game was unintentional and the listing has since been taken down. A small amount of people were able to purchase the game from Square Enix’s store but were bewildered to realize that while they now owned the game, its DRM protection forbid it from being played.
Some of these gamers were understandably upset and have since made complaints to Square Enix; the developer has made no official statement on the matter.
Final Fantasy VII will be released for the second time on the PC on an unspecified date and will include new gameplay features as well as a brand new achievements system.
