Wargaming.net announced at Gamescom that, despite what we previously believed, Japanese planes will enter the fray in World of Warplanes (of which we recently published an extensive preview) at launch.

The Japanese tech tree will includes several fighters like the Mitsuishi A6M2 Zero, the Nakajima Type 91, the Mitsubishi J4M1 Senden interceptor fighter and the Kyushu J7W1, J7W2 and J7W3 prototypes.

Below you can find the trailer showcasing the Japanese planes alongside a few screenshots and renders. Personally, I can’t wait to put my hands on the controls of those lovely warbirds.
