An update on the way to Japanese MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 will add a variety of content, much of which features a delightful Halloween theme. To be specific, the “Call of Mortality” update will add a very hard difficulty setting( which adds a few rare bosses), Halloween-themed costumes and accessories, a Halloween-themed lobby (fancy), a “Trick or Treat” emergency quest (available for a limited time), and Halloween-themed enemies which drop the scarce Pumpkin Rod.

The update will be available from October 24th, but the Halloween-themed content will only be available until November 21st. Don’t be jelly of the Japanese players, as Phantasy Star Online 2  is being localized for international release. Check out all the new goodies in the trailer below.
