Sega of Japan officially announced their new PSP (I know, right?) RPG today, Shining Ark. It’s the latest game in a franchise that hasn’t been seen in quite some time, but it actually looks pretty good (from the little information they’ve given us). If you’re a fan of the Wild Arms titles, Shining Ark is being developed by the same studio that worked on those, Media Vision. While it was leaked during the week, we finally get to see some official screens and artwork from the game, which you can view below.
Fried, an islander, is walking along the beach one day, minding his own business, when he discovers a girl – an angel – with a single black wing. That’s the premise of the game at its most basic, and is practically all we know about it so far. It will debut in Japan in the Winter of 2013 and, let’s be honest here, this is Sega, so the possibility of it coming to the West is pretty low. Fortunately, if you want to play the game in Japanese, you’ll likely be able to nab it from the PSN store when the time comes.
