Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two’s Wasteland Trailer Revealed

Disney Interactive Studios and developer Junction Point Studios have just revealed a new trailer of the Reconstructed Wasteland, the setting of the upcoming Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two gives players the ability to use Mickey’s magic paintbrush to create with the “Paint” function and destroy with the “Thinner” function. A second player can also get in the shoes of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, using a remote control and other abilities. Working together, either character can do special cooperative abilities as well. Warren Spector recently told DualShockers how much he believes in the power of player choice, and how EM2 relies on a powerful story expanded upon by the players’ experience.

“We needed as much freedom as we could. The whole idea of Wasteland–the world in which the Epic Mickey games are set–the whole idea is that it’s a mash up of all the ideas that don’t fit together.” Warren told us. “It’s Oswald the Lucky Rabbit–and not to get too serious about this–it’s Oswald trying to win the love of his father, Walt Disney. ‘Walt, you created me. Why did you cast me aside for this mouse, Mickey?’ And so he’s trying to build a world that’s he’s never seen in the image of his dad’s fondest dream.”

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will be available on November 18th for the Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Mac.
