Square-Enix has released another batch of screenshots showing off their upcoming Nintendo 3DS re-release Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden. This time we get a quick glimpse at the game’s combat and some of the crude critters you’ll face off against. The cartoon-like art style and visuals seem fairly appealing. This kind of game seems well suited to the 3DS. Don’t be fooled by its kiddie facade though; series fans now how hardcore the Dragon Quest games can be.

Dragon Quest VII isn’t yet confirmed for a release in North America, but the game will be available in Japan on February 7th, 2013.
