Not a good look, Sony. SuperBot’s balance patch for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, slated to hit “early this week” has finally landed. Quitting the game and restarting will allow players to download the patch, which is meant to grant players a new item, better game connectivity, and a nice little (or terribly huge, depending on your perspective) nerf to Sackboy.
Or rather it would if players could start the game. Early reports from european players indicate that the game’s 196 MB patch download instead causes the game to stay at a black screen after a player chooses their character’s color. Alternatively, running segments that automatically pick a character (such as the tutorial) will leave a player stranded. The segment will run, but it will not allow a player to exit. Hopefully Sony fixes this pronto, the game needs all the help it can get.
