You may or may not have heard of it, but Mars: War Logs is an upcoming cyberpunk-style RPG from Focus Home Interactive and developer Spiders Games. As the title would suggest, the game takes place on Mars, in a rather dystopian future where various factions on the planet vie for its most precious and rare resource – water – after a cataclysm hits.

You take on the role of Roy, and guide him through the game’s story, developing his combat style in a way that suits the way you like to play. Want to be all stealthy-like? You can do that. Want to go straight into combat and get your hands dirty? That’s possible, too. The game also includes dialog and choices that help influence the game’s story, as well.

Check out the trailer below, which gives you a little glimpse of the dangers Roy will face on his journey, and will sooth you to sleep with the rather soothing background music, as well (titled “Feel the Sunshine”). Look for it next year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
