I was sitting at my computer writing my review of the PC version of Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition when I learned something absolutely startling and incomprehensible, that no doubt will make many RPG fans that were waiting for the Mac OS X version of the game frown, a lot.
According to the Creative Director of the game Trent Oster the Enhanced Edition of the old and glorious RPG has been rejected by the Apple Mac App Store. According to his message on twitter, the cause is still not known.
Very bad news. Mac OSX
#BGEE has been rejected from the Apple Mac App store. We’ll dig in and see what the problem is.
This definitely comes as an unpleasant surprise considering that the game has launched with no hitch and with great success (it’s currently ranked first between RPGs in quite a few countries including the United States and the UK) on the iOS App Store.
Hopefully the problem is just of a technical nature and will be solved quickly. We’ll keep you updated if the situation evolves.
