In a sad but dignified departure from THQ yesterday, as the remaining employees were allowed to gather their things and clear their desks by the end of the day, THQ’s now former president Jason Rubin tweeted a picture in response to not only his last day at the office, but to industry figurehead Cliff Bleszinski’s comments on the Saints Row franchise.
If you missed it, yesterday Bleszinski wrote a string of tweets detailing why he thought the Saints Row franchise had a lot of potential, but was being held back by some of their content. Like dildos. A lot of Bleszinski’s criticisms were directed to the infamous “Penetrator” weapon from Saints Row the Third, the dildo-bat melee weapon players could unlock and use throughout the game. Jason Rubin had one response, along with a picture to boot:
Not leaving @thq without my personal effects. For the record, still #notembarrased @volitioninc twitter.com/Jason_Rubin/st…

Only time will tell if the Saints Row franchise will change once at its new publisher and developer Koch Media and Deep Silver, respectively; but we at DualShockers would like to wish Jason Rubin–as well as all of the employees leaving THQ–the best of luck in their future endeavors.
