The Japanese re-release of the classic Dragon Quest VII on the 3DS isn’t that far, as it will hit the shelves on the archipelago of the Rising Sun on February the 7th, and Square Enix released a new batch of screenshots to wet our appetite.

The screenshots focus mostly on the events that will drive the story of the game, but they also show the casino, that will provide a diversion for weary adventurers and great prizes from activities like poker, slots and “lucky panels”, that is basically your usual game of Pairs. Because getting an old game and giving it a new name is all the rage nowadays.

Of course we still know nothing about a possible localization, so we’ll have to wait for Square Enix to see the light and give us some news on that front. Waiting for divine inspiration is always a lot of fun…
