NRA Approved Senator Jumps On The “Video Games Are Worst Than Guns” Bandwagon On MSNBC

In yet another “guns are okay, but video games are evil” debate, U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander has blamed video games for violence, stating it “affects people”. Thanks to the Daily Kos [via Polygon] we have the footage, which you can see below.

Alexander–who is a “Rated A” NRA-approved senator and who has voted against gun control in the past–also lamented that “the First Amendment limits what we can do about video games. The Second Amendment to the Constitution limits what we can do about guns.”

So I guess the answer is blaming Angry Birds for the downfall of mankind?

Wait, he may have a point.

If you think “video games is [sic] a bigger problem than guns”, then I’d encourage you to check out Adam Sessler’s defense of video games on Fox News. Remember to check out the video below, and stay tuned to

  • OH HEY LOOK. A Scapegoat appeared! NRA used “Switch the blame!” It was super…ineffective!

  • Draken

It would have been a lot better if he had actually said “…worst than guns”.
Though he did say “video games IS”.

  • Nowadays the popularity of video games is so much high in the market. Most of people like to play video games but it should be in limit,if you are over limit then it might be problematic for your health and main problematic for your brain.

    • And of course you have scientific data to back that up? 😀
