Free Ni No Kuni Familiar DLC Coming on February 12

If you’re enthralled by Ni No Kuni, as I am, you’ll be happy to hear the news Namco Bandai announced today. On February 12th, you’ll be able to download a free Draggle familiar for the game, straight from the PSN.

According to Namco’s description of this adorable little pet, it can morph into a Dragette, and then, in its final form, either a Dragamuffin or a Bedraggle. How about those for some fun pet names, eh? It seems the DLC is already on the European PlayStation Store, since the game came out today over across the pond, so it’s only a matter of time before it shows up here (11 days, as a matter of fact).

The collecting aspect of familiars in Ni No Kuni is certainly one of the highlights for myself (I’m a sucker for collecting anything in an RPG…don’t even ask me about my vanity pet collection in World of Warcraft). If it is for you, also, look forward to the PS Store update that day and download away.

If you’re still on the fence about the game, the publisher also released a  new story trailer today.
