by Feb 1st 2013 5:00PM 0 Comments

Gabe Newell (Founder, Valve) recently gave a lecture at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Affairs where he shared his views, experiences and some anecdotes regarding his career in the technology industry.

Newell covers a variety of topics including his time at Microsoft, reasons for founding Valve, lessons learned through designing single-player and multiplayer games, Steam’s past, present and future, open and closed platorms and Valve’s ‘flat’ organization model.

This is a fascinating lecture from one of the leading minds in the technology/entertainment industry today. I encourage anyone interested in the previously highlighted topics to take a look.
