The votes have gone in for the most recent Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Arena match ups, which have Aquaman taking on Cyborg, and Green Lantern Hal Jordan against Solomon Grundy. And now you can see the winner of the fights below with two brand new Injustice gameplay videos.
It’s easy to see that Cyborg-players could develop a case of “Hadouken Fever,” but it was cool to see some elements of his pre-Flashpoint personality thrown in (specifically a very Teen Titans cartoon “Booya”). As for Aquaman, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it would be cool to see him have a more diverse moveset that reflects the variety of abilities and attacks he’s had over the last few decades. Not even a telepathy attack? Come on. He’s more than a trident, people. That said, it is cool to see him stand his ground against a powerhouse like Cyborg.
Solomon Grundy looks about as dangerous as he was when the game was first unveiled, and it was awesome to hear him shout his “Solomon Grundy, born on a Monday!” nursery rhyme. Hal Jordan had a nice mix of constructs and mobility, and his finisher was pretty damn good. Though this fight would make a little more sense if he had an Alan Scott alternate costume.
If you missed the last two Battle Arena Match Ups, you can check out the Week One results here (between Batman and Bane, and Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn) and the Week Two results here (between The Flash and Captain Marvel, and Lex Luthor and the Joker). You may also want to check out the alternate attires for the Flash and Green Arrow.
Do you agree with the result? Are you excite for Injustice? Who else do you think should make the roster?
