New SimCity Clip Shows a City Shaped Like a Simoleon

The SimCity official livestreams are continuing daily and yesterday we saw members of the Maxis team building a city roughly shaped like a Simoleon (the franchise’s fictional currency, if you lived under a rock until now), testament to the new curvy roads that you can build in the game.

As usual today they released a recap video, that you can see below, but if you want to see the whole process (and hear all the funny banter) you can check out the full recording here.

At the moment they’re livestreaming the building of a coal-based industrial city, with about two hours left on the clock at the moment of this writing. I don’t think I ever saw that much brown in a virtual city… We’re probably about to see a lot of unhappy and sick sims soon enough, but after all torturing your sims is an ancient and honored pastime in gaming since the dawn of the genre. That’s why they’re designed to be so annoying.
