Tecmo Koei today revealed some significant details about their upcoming re-release Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. Firstly, a playable demo of the game will be released sometime prior to the proper retail launch, although a precise release date for the demo was not revealed. Furthermore, the game will launch at the reduced price point of $40, which should help to assuage the sting anyone who already purchased Ninja Gaiden 3 may be feeling right about now.
Finally, the Xbox 360 version of the game will come equipped with an exclusive SmartGlass feature which players can use with their tablets or smart phones to track and compare their scores and achievements. This feature will also sustain a community for 360 players, allowing players to upload, view and comment on strategy videos that should help them through some of the more challenging parts of the game.
PS3 players with an internet enabled device shouldn’t feel too slighted by the 360 exclusive feature, as I’m sure there will be no shortage of strategy videos available on YouTube. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 2nd.
