Call of Juarez: The Cartel was a bit of a miss when it released back in 2011, with little marketing and mixed to negative reviews. But that hasn’t stopped Ubisoft and Techland from bringing back the franchise, with the newly announced Call of Juarez: Gunslinger.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger looks like it will be taking the franchise back to the old wild wild west, with the game following a ruthless bounty hunter on the trail of notorious outlaws. The game looks to blend legendary tales with the game’s narrative, with the Ubisoft game page promising that Gunslinger is “made of memorable encounters [that] unveil the untold truth behind some of the greatest legends of the Old West.” Expect to meet Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, Jesse James, and more, a large landscape to travel through, the ability to gun down multiple enemies “in split seconds,” and building up gun skills through specific shooting abilities.
More information is set to release soon, with a reveal trailer coming March 14th. Below you can see what to me should count as a reveal trailer, but what do I know? Below that is also the European Gunslinger “Justice is blind to legends” trailer, and a few screenshots, to whet your appetite until the 14th. The game is set to release to the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
